“Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass. It’s about learning how to dance in the rain.”– Vivian Greene
We all experience “Failure” right from our childhood. Society has taught us to attach connotations to words. We have been conditioned to believe that all success is positive and all failure negative. However, experiences are never black and white. It is a color palette, the full rainbow, some might say. Each color is an experience that experience must be enjoyed, lived and felt.
We present to you “FailWise”, a platform where we welcome emotions, experiences, and journeys that people often don’t want to share. Here we believe in the saying of Elon Musk that “Failures are a sign that you are inventing”. We learn best when we are curious. Curiosity welcomes adventures and results in great knowledge. Along our “curious” journey we may sometimes succeed and sometimes fail. Most of our learnings come out of curiosity which is accompanied by many new adventurous processes and that can result in great knowledge. Sometimes we call it success or lessons or sometimes “Failures”.
OUR BELIEF
According to Kathryn Schulz (author of Being Wrong: Adventures in the Margin of Error) “It is our meta-mistake: We are wrong about what it means to be wrong. Far from being a sign of intellectual inferiority, the capacity to err is crucial to human cognition.” Join us as we celebrate mistakes and endeavor to learn from them. FailWise is a social blogging platform for collaborative learning where you can learn better before you start.
Brandon Mull represents a clear philosophy of FailWise, “Smart people learn from their mistakes. But the real sharp ones learn from the mistakes of others.”
WHAT FAILWISE DOES?
FailWise connects everyone to inspire and learn better. We welcomes stories and journeys unheard and unsung. We want to hear and learn from your struggles and challenges. You can share your short ideas/ stories in the form of articles, videos or image quote. Alternatively, you can contact us and we will draft or record your story on your behalf.
We are also organizing “TUF Talks” (Tell You Fail) where selected authors, stories and people will be invited to talk on stage or online. As Heath says “The quickest road to success is to possess an attitude toward failure of ‘no fear’. At FailWise, we will aspire to spread that attitude. So that our readers will never look at “failure” as a bad end, but a beautiful starting.
We believe in Samuel Beckett’s words “Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail Better.” and we add to this “Fail Wisely.”
